Counseling Center 2024-2025 Fact Sheet
As a part of the Wolfpack 2030: Powering the Extraordinary strategic plan, the Counseling Center has worked to increase access and reduce barriers to mental healthcare on campus. In support of these goals, the Counseling Center became a JED campus, placed Embedded Counselors in every academic college on campus, and offered virtual mental health services through Mantra Health. These services are in addition to the variety of groups, workshops, case management, psychiatry, and individual counseling services offered through the Counseling Center.

During the 2024-2025 school year:
- 550 students were seen by Academic Embedded counselors
- 185 students utilized the Mantra Health teletherapy platform
- 200 students participated in group counseling
- 134 students attended workshops
- 802 students worked with an on-campus psychiatrist
- For students engaged in individual counseling, the average number of appointments attended was 6
In total, during the 2024-2025 school year:
- 4,462 students utilized services
- A total of 34,067 appointments were attended
Suicide Prevention Training
Suicide prevention training has been a part of the Counseling Center’s outreach efforts for a number of years. Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is an evidence-based, nationally recognized suicide prevention program. During the 2024-2025 school year:
- 71 QPR outreaches were completed
- 1,055 students were trained
- 210 faculty and staff were trained
Presenting Concerns
The Counseling Center collects deidentified data regarding initial presenting concerns. Our clinicians also endorse mental health areas our students experience. This is a snapshot of some concerns students presented with:
