Schedule Your First Appointment

If you haven’t visited us before, or it’s been a while, here’s what to do:

  1. Complete paperwork at go.ncsu.edu/cou-intake.
    • Paperwork is available during access hours (listed below). If you need help outside of those hours, please call 919-515-2423.
    • The forms are best viewed on a computer, not a mobile device.
  2. Choose if you want to be seen as soon as possible or if you want to make an appointment for a future date.
    • Select “1a – Triage Paperwork to be seen as soon as possible” to start your paperwork online and you would like to be seen as soon as possible.
    • Select “1b – Triage Paperwork to schedule an appointment” to pick a time for your initial consultation within the next 5 business days. If no appointments are available, you’ll have the opportunity to be seen as soon as possible working with your schedule.
  3. Speak with a screening counselor, who will help match you with the right services.
    • You’ll receive a Zoom link to the Counseling Center’s virtual waiting room by email after completing your paperwork.

If you don’t complete your paperwork the same day you started it, you’ll get an email the next business day about completing the remaining forms. In some cases, a clinician may reach out to you the same day.
