Bio

As a licensed counselor and addictions specialist, Brittany has a decade of experience working with folks who present to counseling with a variety of concerns and come from diverse backgrounds. Her therapy practice is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-focused. Brittany practices through a relational-cultural lens, and believes that multiple aspects of our identities, communities, social environments, and systems of oppression influence our well-being. She is trained in cognitive therapies, advanced trauma treatments, somatic-based interventions, and incorporates mindfulness throughout her work. Her hope is to help clients feel more connected and to learn new skills to effectively deal with issues as they arise. Brittany’s clinical interests include complex trauma, relational issues, mood concerns such as depression and anxiety, substance use, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Brittany is a North Carolina native and loves Raleigh. She enjoys strength-training and taking multiple walks a day, petting all the animals, trying new foods, and spending time with her family and friends.
