Bio
Emily (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Trauma Informed Care. She values strengths-based approaches and identity intersectionality. Her interventions are individualized to client needs and draw from DBT, CBT, art therapy, and narrative therapy. She loves helping people understand and honor themselves. Her theoretical orientations come from the person-in-environment perspective, family systems theory, and feminist theory. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing Lyra aerial arts, hanging out with her cat, and traveling to achieve her goal of visiting all 50 states. She grew up in the Adirondacks of Northern New York and loves living in Raleigh.
Emily is an embedded clinician for College of Design.
