Bio
Dr. Kierra Carter currently serves as an embedded counselor for Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) and the African American Cultural Center (AACC). Dr. Carter has worked in mental health state agencies, in private practices, primary and secondary schools, and non-profits. Utilizing a person-centered approach, Dr. Carter is able to render a non-judgemental and warm environment that allows students to navigate their sessions while being motivated to process their emotions along the way. She has presented research on underrepresented populations across the U.S. and loves advocating for these populations in different spaces. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and creative arts.
