Bio

Kim has been providing counseling services since 2011. She is a licensed clinical addiction specialist and a certified clinical supervisor through the NCSAPPB Board. She is also licensed as a clinical mental health counselor supervisor and is board certified in biofeedback. Kim’s early professional experience includes four years at an opiate treatment facility. She has been a staff member at the NC State University Counseling Center since 2015. Kim utilizes an eclectic, person-centered, biopsychosocial, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach to therapy. Her primary modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, polyvagal theory, and harm reduction strategies. She works collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
