Bio

Jasmine Jester is completing her pre-doctoral internship at the NC State University Counseling Center. She is a two-time graduate of Tennessee State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies and her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She is currently completing her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky. Jasmine’s clinical approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. She views therapy as a space to walk alongside students as they deepen their understanding of themselves, make meaning of their experiences, and move toward lives that align with their values. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ethnic-racial identity development, and substance use. Jasmine integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), interpersonal, and strengths-based approaches, while considering the cultural and social contexts that shape students’ experiences.
