Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students and eligible postdocs in the College of Natural Resources have access to these specialized counseling services through NC State’s Embedded Counseling program.

Your Counselor

William W. Hitt

Clinician, College of Natural Resources and College of Education

Meet William Hitt, LCMHCS

William practices counseling utilizing an eclectic approach. He begins with a client-centered base before pulling concepts from cognitive-behavioral therapy, logotherapy, relational-cultural therapy, and family systems. Before coming to NCSU, William practiced counseling at a community college, within a college of nursing, at an HBCU, and in an integrated primary health care setting. Students undergo such dynamic changes in both personal and professional identity while in college, and William finds it exciting and rewarding to be a part of this journey.
