William W. Hitt

Clinician, College of Natural Resources and College of Education

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS)

William practices counseling utilizing an eclectic approach. He begins with a client-centered base before pulling concepts from cognitive-behavioral therapy, logotherapy, relational-cultural therapy, and family systems. Before coming to NC State, William practiced counseling at a community college, within a college of nursing, at an HBCU, and in an integrated primary health care setting. Students undergo such dynamic changes in both personal and professional identity while in college, and William finds it exciting and rewarding to be a part of this journey.

William is an embedded clinician for College of Natural Resources and College of Education.
