Multicultural Student Affairs Embedded Counseling

Explore personal, interpersonal, academic, and professional concerns that may be impacting your well-being with a counselor connected to MSA.

You can meet with the counselor at a location close to your classes — no need to go across campus to the Counseling Center!

Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students have access to these specialized counseling services through NC State’s Embedded Counseling program.

Services

Let’s Talk: Drop-in Support

  • Let’s Talk sessions are opportunities for brief, informal conversations for students with their embedded counselor. Let’s Talk sessions are not therapy, though they can be a first step towards discovering and setting up counseling services.

Common topics in sessions include learning more about counseling services, working through a one-time concern, or learning a coping skill to address a current stressor.

Day and Time

Individual Counseling

Schedule one-on-one appointments, based on your availability.

While CeErra is the embedded counselor for the African American Cultural Center & Multicultural Student Affairs, other counselors on staff are available if you have a preference for a counselor as it relates to gender identity, race, and/or ethnicity.

Your comfort is incredibly important, and we want to make sure we provide the best therapeutic experience. Note your preference on our “Request for Services” form. If you don’t list any preferences, we will work with you to find a counselor who is the best fit.
