Bio

Originally from China, Zhiqi is an international doctoral student in the Counseling and Counselor Education program at North Carolina State University. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, and is licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, as well as a National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. Zhiqi provides client-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a psychodynamic lens to help clients gain deeper self-understanding. Her professional interests focus on relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and career development, with a particular emphasis on supporting international students.Outside of her professional work, Zhiqi enjoys playing tennis and ping pong, as well as expressing her love for music through singing and playing the piano.
