Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Bio

CeErra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and proud NC State alumna who serves as an embedded counselor within the African American Cultural Center (AACC) and Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA). As a former military child who found her own footing at a predominantly white institution, CeErra understands deeply what it means to need and find a space where you truly belong. Her approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based practices, with a focus on anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Culturally affirming care is not just something she offers; it is the foundation of everything she does. Before coming to campus, CeErra built her career across inpatient mental health and substance use facilities, outpatient settings, nonprofit work supporting teens of color, and emergency department behavioral health. Those diverse experiences shape the grounded, compassionate presence she brings to every session. When she is not in the office, you can find CeErra tending to her family homestead, staying active outdoors, or curled up for a nap with her dog.
