Bio
Kasey Chambers is a 5th year Ph.D. student in counseling psychology with a concentration in sport psychology at the University of North Texas completing her final year of training as a doctoral psychology intern at NC State University. In addition to working at the Counseling Center this year, Kasey is also providing sport psychology services to the NC State University athletic department as part of her training. She operates from a Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) perspective, while incorporating elements of mindful self-compassion (MSC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and interpersonal process. Kasey aims to create a safe therapeutic environment where clients are able to (re)connect with their authentic selves and feel empowered to make changes in their lives. Outside of work, Kasey likes to spend time with loved ones, watch sports, and read fantasy novels.
