Bio
Kayla is an energetic and passionate counselor with 5 years of experience in the counseling profession. She strives to show up in the most authentic, empathic, and collaborative way possible for each student. Kayla is dedicated to helping each student to the best of her abilities overcome or minimize effects of anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, and other mental health challenges. Kayla’s prior experience before coming to NC State University include: veterans, neurodiversity, permanent and temporary physical/mental/emotional disability, military families, and those interested in career change. Kayla believes that mental wellness is just one part of achieving a high quality of life and looks forward to working with you on your journey of mental wellness! She utilizes am individualized person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused approach.
