Michael Tuma

Bio
Michael has a passion for being a therapist and has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings. Each setting has shown him that maintaining one’s mental health is equally important as maintaining one’s physical health. Michael has learned a variety of therapeutic techniques, in particular ACT and Solution Focused. However, his primary “technique” is being flexible with approach and understanding of a client’s circumstances. Michael believes in developing resources and relationships that work for the client’s goals beyond therapy. As well as, the fulfillment of joining a client’s journey in finding their voice and identity throughout life’s transitions.
Michael is a proud native of Detroit, Michigan but has thoroughly enjoyed his experiences in Raleigh, North Carolina as his home. Michael enjoys spending time with his friends and family as well as traveling.
Michael is an embedded clinician for Wilson College of Textiles and The Graduate School.
