Psychiatric Services
The Counseling Center offers psychiatric evaluation and other psychiatric services. Our staff psychiatrists consult with both our professional staff and our clients. If you think you need medication management, you will generally need to see a counselor prior to referral. The counselor will arrange for your psychiatric evaluation.
Our Approach
You are eligible for two psychiatric appointments before we assess any additional fees. If you need more than two psychiatric appointments, each session will cost between $65-$85 depending on the nature of services rendered. Charges will appear on your student account. Check with your health insurance company to find out whether your health insurance policy will reimburse you for these costs. Learn more about eligibility and costs.
After an initial evaluation for medication, your psychiatrist will help you manage your medication and monitor your progress during follow-up appointments. Concurrent therapy will continue to focus on dealing with underlying issues and skill building.
